Client Training Programmes

ROUTE TO WORK PROGRAMME

 Introduction

This internal initiative is the brain child from our Head of Recruitment, Travis Thomas, who has devised the Route to Work programme where our staff at NSSL Group support our clients on a pathway to learn the skills and education needed for their desired career and/or future goals.

 
What is the Process? 

Our Service Managers identify clients who are ready to take the next step in their future and will complete an engagement form with them.
A senior member of our Recruitment Team will meet and assess the client to devise an action plan, determining goals and any education/skills needed.
The Action Plan is shared with the Service Managers to support the client throughout the process.
Our Recruitment Team monitor progress and can provide extra support as needed, e.g. links to relevant apprenticeships and local employers for work experience. 



How do our clients benefit?

We have an experienced team who have built excellent relationships with local colleges and communities we serve, to seek key opportunities for clients to engage with.
We support the client with their diagnosis and identify any potential barriers to make goals more achievable and therefore they are less likely to fail.
We work in collaboration with external colleagues with SEND experience, e.g. Capital City College and Bedford Recovery College.
Our staff can provide additional in-house support and , where needed, make any relevant changes to their package of care.
